Friday Favorites- Cake!

Ok, so really I just wanted to show you the cake I made for my daughter's birthday.

The writing isn't the best, but the cake was from scratch. This is really also a lesson in frugality. If I bought this cake it would have easily been over $20 (especially with Elmo on it!), but it cost about $10 to make the cake. But really less because a lot of it you probably already have on hand (I did!) and some you could even stock pile at cheap prices. This was a 13 x 9 cake, which would be similar to a quarter sheet cake.

Also by making it from scratch, I know what went in it, which is something I always like to know.
